Caerphilly birthing centre is an approved 'Real Nappy Friendly Hospital' you will be able to use your own real nappies during your stay there if you have aleady bought your nappies, if not you can view a display pack of nappies which is kept on the ward for parents to see. The pack contains 1 Swaddlebees prefold nappy, 1 Bamboo Little Lamb nappy, 1 Real Easy nappy, 1 Minky pocket nappy, 1 Nature Babies waterproof wrap, 1 washable wipe and some printed nappy and fabric guides and contact details of a local real nappy supplier.

Bargoed Aberbargoed and Gilfach Credit Union Ltd

To be eligible for a loan from the credit union you must live or work within the Bargoed, Aberbargoed, Gilfach or Britannia areas. You must save for a minimum of 13 weeks; you can then apply to borrow twice the amount of money you have saved i.e. if you have saved £100 you can borrow up to £200. A typical loan of £200 paid back over 43 weeks will cost £5 a week including interest (12.6APR). Loans fully secured by savings are at a lower rate of interest. Free life insurance is provided with all loans.

There are several collection points throughout the area where you can pay your weekly or monthly payments, you can also pay by Paypoint Card, Standing Order or Payroll Deduction.

Credit Unions are not for profit organisations that provide a safe and secure place to save and access low cost loans the maximum amount of interest charged per month is 2% of the reducing balance (APR 26.8%).
